Pokémon Go is concealing a secret, says CEO

How do you hide a secret from millions of avid players in a mobile game? Apparently Niantic Labs, the developer of Pokémon Go, has found the answer.

In a brief interview with GamesRadar, Niantic CEO John Hanke indicated that the game is currently holding a secret which no one has yet found.

“There will always be secrets in the game that no one has found because we’re always adding new secrets to the game,” he said. “There’s one out there right now and we’ll see how that plays out over the course of the next few weeks.”

GamesRadar then asked whether the mysterious element had been added during the Halloween event, to which Hanke replied: “I am not giving you any clues.”

Thanks John.

With no hints to work with, this unknown fact about the game could be anything. Maybe Ditto has arrived and is masquerading as other Pokémon? Are the legendaries flapping around somewhere but we just haven’t noticed? The options are endless.

With millions of players still picking up Pokémon Go on a daily basis, this secret is either insignificant or very, very well hidden. We hope it’s the latter.
