Dwayne Johnson has more upcoming movies than we’ve had hangovers, and that’s saying something.
One of the projects that the hardest-working (and highest-paid) actor in Hollywood is starring in is a movie version of ’80s arcade title Rampage.
In Rampage, you took control of a giant gorilla called George (most likely a Curious George reference), a giant lizard called Lizzie (because obviously), or a giant werewolf called Ralph (we’ve got no idea), and wrecked havoc on the city and the military defending it. Once you destroyed all of America, you could play one of the sequels and travel through time.

It was very ’80s.
How this will translate to film, we don’t know. But we do know when we’ll find out.
ComingSoon reports that Warner Bros has announced a release date for its Johnson-starring adaptation, and that date is: April 20, 2018.

Rampage will reunite Johnson with director Brad Peyton and writer Carlton Cuse. Peyton also directed Journey 2: The Mysterious Island which starred, you guessed it, Dwayne Johnson.
We really hope this film embraces the corniness of the source material.
Warner Bros Pictures
Currently on Dwayne Johnson’s film schedule are (deep breath) Fast 8, Baywatch, Shazam, Jumanji, Journey 3, Doc Savage, Jungle Cruise, San Andreas 2 [Electric Boogaloo], Big Trouble in Little China, The Janson Directive, Skyscraper, and Alpha Squad Seven.
There’s also a rumour that Johnson wants to use his spare time to star in remakes of all eight Harry Potter films with him playing every single character, but we might have just made that up in the hope we can will it into existence.
