Even if you won’t be purchasing Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, you can still experience a slice of its futuro-pie. Jackal Assault is an accompanying PSVR experience which is, according to Activision, going to be free on the PS Store from tomorrow.
At the COD XP event in September Activision announced that Jackal Assault would be free to Infinite Warfare customers. For some reason it’s now decided to cast the net wider, but as a result, lots of people haven’t heard of the game.

The video below gives an what to expect from the VR title, even though section on JA is woefully short.
Obviously the offer comes with a few provisos. A PS4 is required, as is a PlayStation VR set. You’re also going to need 1.5GB of free space on your console hard drive.
Some reports also indicate that you’re going to want a sick bag. Apparently Jackal Assault has been a vomit comet for some participants, though we haven’t had the opportunity to test this for ourselves. Just be sure to keep the mop bucket handy.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare goes on sale tomorrow. If you’re so inclined, you can possibly pick up a copy at midnight tonight in the strange Activision / Uber crossover promotion taking place in London.
