Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is to feature a YOLO game mode in which
super soldiers embrace the moment and do something crazy players only get one life. Die, and you’ve got to restart the whole campaign from scratch.
YOLO mode can only be activated once players have beaten the game in Specialist mode which sounds like a nightmare to us, even with the prospect of permanent savegames. Activision describes the mode as “intensely realistic” which means that the player’s frail human form can’t miraculously heal after taking damage (it’s only possibly to heal with Nano Shots).

Headshots are prevented by helmets which take damage and must be replaced, and being shot in either the legs, or the arms, can impact your ability to walk or aim.
Add all of these super-fun rules to a singe life policy and you’ve probably got YOLO mode. In other words it’s not for the faint of heart and we’re fairly sure most players will last five minutes.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare arrives tomorrow and jumps into the fray against Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2. If you live in London and are within Zone 2 at midnight tonight, then hopping into an Uber could win you a copy of the game.
