TypeStatus Making Return For IOS 7,Popular Jailbreak Tweak

TypeStatus, introduced to the Cydia store during the iOS 6 jailbreak, is an extremely simple tweak that allows you to see when someone is typing an iMessage to you. Normally, you have to have the Messages app open to see the “user is typing” animation which indicates a reply is being typed by the person on the other end of the conversation. With TypeStatus, you can see whenever someone is typing back a reply from anywhere on your iOS device, or when someone has read a message you sent them.

Recently, the creators of TypeStatus, posted an update on their website regarding their plans for the iOS 7 jailbreak and their tweaks.

The devs have made TypeStatus now available on their Cydia repo in beta form. The most recent version number is 1.1.1 beta 4 as the company continues to work out bugs and fix a few known issues (listed below).

Known issues:

• Breaks MMS/iMessage image sending.
• On iOS 5, and possibly also iOS 6, you need to open the Messages app at least once after installing TypeStatus for it to work.
• Email addresses/phone numbers are shown instead of contact names on iOS 7.
• Support for apps that hide the status bar is broken on iOS 7
