Mactracker provides detailed information on every* Apple Macintosh ever made, including items such as processors, memory, optical drives, graphic cards, supported Mac OS versions, and expansion options. In addition to every Mac, Mactracker includes details on Apple mice, keyboards, displays, printers, scanners, digital cameras, iPods, Apple TVs, iPhones, iPads, Wi-Fi Cards/Base Stations, and Mac OS versions.
Smart Categories and Smart Searching
Mactracker also gives you the ability to create smart categories by selecting a specification item such as processor type, date introduced or your color label. Smart Categories provide a easy and simple way to locate devices with specific features. With Smart Searching you can search for any product orios operating system in a quick, iTunes-style search feature.
In addition to listing technical specifications, Mactracker gauges real-world performance with scores courtesy of Primate Labs Geekbench 2. The results reflect an average of the user submitted benchmarks for models ranging from iBook (Dual USB) to MacBook Pro (Retina, Early 2013).
Keep track of your own Apple hardware
Each of the info windows has a Notes tab that allows you to add your own comments as well as links to Internet addresses, files, and folders that relate to the selected model. With the “My Models” section you can add details about your own models such as their serial number, purchase date, and warranty coverage end date.
Mactracker allows you to select up to four models and highlight differences in their respective technical specifications.
*Mactracker includes information on Apple’s Macintosh models as well as Apple branded devices that work with them, such as LaserWriter printers and iPods. It does not include earlier Apple systems such as the Apple IIGS.
